Srinagar, Oct 25: The Enforcement wing of the Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA) on Tuesday carried out a demolition drive in various areas of Srinagar city and demolished several structures.
Divulging the details, an official of the department said that the enforcement wing of the department started the demolition drive earlier today in the areas of Sadoo Colony Ishber, Lhasa Gali Dalgate, Shahdadbagh Habak, Chandpora Harwan, Lal Bazar and Saida Kadal.
The officer said that the drive was carried out in Sadoo Colony Ishber, Lhasa Gali Dalgate, Shahdadbagh Habak, Chandpora Harwan, Lal Bazar, and Saida Kadal. He stated that during the drive, two first stories, two-second stories, one plinth, one ten walling, and one shop shuttering were demolished.
The LC&MA said these structures were raised during the holidays and after receiving the inputs, they demolished them and warned people not to raise any illegal construction.
