Ramban, Feb 19: Apni Party Vice-President and Former Minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan has demanded rehabilitation and compensation for families displaced following landslide at Dalwah (Duksar) in Block Sangaldan in Gool area.
In a statement issued to Rising Kashmir, Khan said that the landslide has affected many families after their houses developed cracks and became unsafe. He appealed to the Govt to rehabilitate the affected families and provide them adequate compensation.
“These families should be shifted to safer places. A revenue team should be constituted to assess the losses suffered by the people and check if the cracks and sliding has extended to other areas as well or not,” he added.
He said that “The people have lost their shelters and should handle the situation with proper care on humanitarian ground.”
