A: The single clearance window system is a facility at Kashmir University, launched at the examinations wing. It enables students to resolve their issues in a single room without having to visit multiple departments.
Q: What kinds of facilities are available in the single window clearance systems?
A: The single window clearance system consolidates services like transcripts, degree certificates, exam results, registration, document verification, and more into one room. It streamlines student grievances and problem resolution processes.
Q: For candidates applying for duplicate certificates, like mark sheets, what is the process under the single clearance window system?
A: Duplicate certificate requests are also accommodated within the system. Candidates complete necessary formalities, after which they receive duplicate certificates promptly. Since 2013, degree certificates are automatically sent to respective colleges and departments.
Q: How many colleges are affiliated with the University of Kashmir?
A: The University of Kashmir affiliates with over 200 colleges in the Kashmir valley, including government and private institutions offering various courses such as engineering, nursing, law, and more.
Q: What courses are available for students after the NEP Batch has been initiated at the University?
A: The university initiated NEP Batches in 2022, with two batches currently ongoing. These courses are designed for completion within two years, with examination datesheets provided beforehand. This allows students to participate in various other examinations alongside their studies.
Q: As Controller of Examinations at KU, what are your future plans?
A: My primary goal is to minimize students’ physical visits to university campuses. We aim to send marks cards and degree certificates directly to respective colleges after results are declared. Additionally, we plan to upload data onto the National Academic Depository (NAD) platform, verified by the Government of India, enabling students to download their documents.
