Srinagar, Feb 22: The Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul Wednesday said that all the Khelo India Winter Games athletes are safe, despite a massive snow avalanche hitting the ski resort of Gulmarg.
Speaking with Rising Kashmir, Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul reassured the public that athletes participating in the Khelo India Winter Games are in good health and there is no need to worry.
It is worth noting that a substantial avalanche occurred at the heights of Gulmarg, resulting in the unfortunate death of one foreign skier, while several others were successfully rescued. A major rescue operation is underway to locate the missing foreign skiers.
