Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrated at Baltal base camp

Baltal, July 26: Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed with patriotic fervor at the Baltal Base Camp during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Officers and officials associated with the Yatra, along with pilgrims, paid floral tributes to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed every year on July 26, commemorates India’s historic victory in the 1999 Kargil War. The day is dedicated to the valiant soldiers who laid down their lives while defending the nation in the challenging terrains of Kargil.During the event, yatris and security forces expressed their gratitude towards the martyrs by chanting patriotic slogans and offering homage. The program also conveyed the message that honoring and remembering the supreme sacrifice of soldiers is the duty of every citizen.
