Srinagar, Sept 06:  As many as 23,666 candidates are set to appear in the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) 2024-2025, scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 7, across 55 examination centres in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The State Eligibility Test Agency, based at the University of Jammu, will conduct the examination in 41 subjects.

Professor Pankaj K. Srivastava, Member Secretary (JKSET/LASET), informed Rising Kashmir that elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the exam.

“In Jammu division, examination centres have been set up in Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri, Udhampur, and Bhadarwah. In the Kashmir division, centres are located in Srinagar, Baramulla, and Anantnag,” he said.

The Ladakh region will also host the exam, with centres in Leh and Kargil, marking a wide geographic spread to ensure accessibility for all aspirants.

Prof. Srivastava added that all examination centres have been fully prepared and candidates are advised to arrive on time. Strict adherence to exam guidelines is expected.

Meanwhile, the University of Jammu has issued an important advisory for candidates appearing in JKSET and LASET for the academic session 2024–25. Candidates have been strongly advised to reach their respective exam cities at least a day in advance to avoid any last-minute issues, especially considering the wide dispersal of examination centres across the Union Territories.

The university has also urged all candidates to regularly check official updates and follow all instructions mentioned on their admit cards.
