BUDGAM, Apr 10: The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Monday, announced the Middle Standard Result for the academic year 2022-23, with overall 96.5% of candidates qualifying the exams from soft and hard zones of Jammu and Kashmir Divisions.
This marks a significant moment as it is the first time the government has implemented a unified academic calendar in J&K UT and conducted exams during the March-April session.
Approximately 175,547 students from both government and private schools in all the 20 districts of J&K took the examination of the second term of the academic year 2022–23. The UT of J&K was divided into two zones: Soft and Hard, to ensure a smooth and efficient examination process.
“The results have been overwhelmingly positive, with a total 169,564 candidates qualifying, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 96.6,” an official said .
An official from SCERT said that the results of the Middle Standard Examination for the 8th grade session 2022–23 has been declared in both soft and hard zones of Jammu and Kashmir.
“96% of the candidates have qualified the exams in both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
In the Jammu division, 55,380 students from the government schools have appeared in the exams, and 53,238 students have qualified for the exams.
In government schools in Jammu, 93.5 percent of students have qualified for the 8th grade exams.
However in the private schools of Jammu, 33,126 students have appeared , out of which 32894 students have qualified the exams, 97.84 % of the students have qualified the exams from the private schools of Jammu.
Similarly, in the Kashmir Division, 42,552 students from the government schools had appeared in the exams, out of which 39,817 students qualified that is 95.81% of the students.
However, in private schools of the Kashmir division, 44,489 students had participated in the exams, of which 43,615 have qualified i.e. 95.53% of the students from the private schools have qualified for the exams.
In the government schools of Jammu and Kashmir, 95.02 percent of students have qualified the exams. In private schools in both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, 98.58 percent of students have got success in eighth grade standards exams.
