J&K’s Waseem Raja elected Joint Secretary Softball Association of India

Indore, Dec 17: General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Softball Association, Waseem Raja Khan was elected as the Joint Secretary of Softball Association of India (SBAI) in a Special General Body Meeting of SBAI to elect the Office Bearers & Members of Managing Committee for fresh four-year term from 2024-2028.
Ramesh Mendola was elected as the President of the Association, while Dr. Pravin Anaokar of Madhya Pradesh was elected as the Secretary General of the Association and Santosh Chauhan of Himachal Pradesh was elected as the Treasurer of the Association.
It is pertinent to mention here that Khan has been instrumental in reviving the Olympic Sport of Softball in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The appointment as Joint Secretary of SBAI has added responsibility on my shoulders and I will leave no stone unturned in promoting the sport of Softball in every nook and corner of the UT. Our Athletes possess immense sporting talent and the only need is to hone the same at the grass-root level, so that they flourish at the National & International scene,” said Khan soon after his election.
