Srinagar, Aug 10: In a landmark moment for community-driven education reform, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), organised a Mass Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) across all schools of the Kashmir Division under its flagship, ‘PAIGAM’ initiative — Policy Action & Implementation for Growth and Awareness in Mentoring NEP-2020 – From Policy to Practice*.According to a statement issued here, the overwhelming response of MPTM across 3,561 schools with a participation of 2.93 lakh teachers, parents and students in Kashmir division has been recorded.
“Education is a shared responsibility — when parents, teachers, and communities work together, every child wins,” Sakeena Itoo said while inaugurating the programme from Higher Secondary School DK Marg, Kulgam.
Historic Scale & Participation was recorded with total 524 PTM events, 3,561 schools covered, and total participants 2,93,604 (teachers, students, parents, and community members).
Minister of Education,Sakeena Itoo accompanied by Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N Itoo and other officers visited schools in the Shahabad area of Anantnag to interact directly with students, parents, and teachers. The PAIGAM initiative is not just an event — it’s a movement to translate the vision of NEP-2020 into meaningful classroom action,” remarked Dr. G.N Itoo.
