Ganderbal, Dec 23: In a significant development, a delegation from Wani Mohalla and Tawheed Pora Kangan, led by community representatives, met MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali to discuss pressing issues impacting the region.
The delegation submitted a detailed memorandum such as improvement in power supply, maintenance and upgrading of roads, installation of equipment in the children’s park, installation of streetlights in Kangan, and the need for JKRTC bus service from Kangan to Lal Chowk.
MLA Ali listened to the delegation and assured them of prompt action. Addressing their concerns, he announced that the long-awaited JKRTC bus service from Gund to Lal Chowk would soon commence, which would bring much-needed relief to commuters in the area.
He said the plans for the installation of lights in public parks and other vital areas in Kangan have been finalised and would be implemented soon.
The delegation expressed their gratitude to the MLA for his continuous support, especially for sanctioning the road from the Rest House to Akhal Kangan, a development they termed as a significant improvement for the region.
Rising Kashmir highlighted the demand for the JKRTC bus service last week, drawing attention to the public’s need for better connectivity.
