Srinagar, July 29: Darshan Rana, President of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Jammu and Kashmir, has urged the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to address “deficiencies” in a recent job advertisement.
The advertisement, issued on July 27 for filling 90 government posts, has raised concerns due to discrepancies in the reservation of seats for various categories, Rana said in a statement.
Rana pointed out that the advertisement reserves only six posts for the Scheduled Castes (SC) category, whereas seven posts should be reserved. Similarly, only six posts have been reserved for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, though eight posts should have been allocated. He said the advertisement lists six seats for Line of Actual Control/International Border (LAC/IB) posts, whereas only three were required.
Rana called on the JKPSC to immediately rectify these issues and issue a new advertisement. “The current discrepancies have created confusion among candidates,” he said.
The BSP chief also appealed to the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Secretary to intervene and ensure clarity in the situation
