Srinagar, May 11: Jammu and Kashmir’s Agriculture Production Department will develop Artificial intelligence-driven Chatbot (Agri-Chatbot) for farmers.
The department has issued an order and assigned the task to the officers for coordinating the development of an Artificial Intelligence driven Chatbot (Agri-Chatbot) for two-way communication between farmers and the Agri-Chatbot.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo said the Chatbot shall address the queries of farmers with respect to agriculture and allied sectors like pre-harvesting management, post-harvest management, disease management, value addition, marketing, etc.
“Farmers can ask any kind of question-related to agriculture and horticulture. There is a lot of information on internet but this initiative is localized initiative to guide farmers,” he said
He said to train the Machine Learning Model for the development of the proposed Chatbot, a huge data set in the form of over 20,000 and more FAQs shall be framed.
The order said that the concerned officers shall coordinate the development of the FAQs, for their respective domain areas, within 10 days from the issuance of this order.
“Each sub-discipline shall have 50 to 100 FAQs, the answers to which should be comprehensive. The quality and relevance of the material shall be checked by the designated officers before forwarding to the Nodal officers,” it said.
“A remuneration of Rs five (05) only, per question is also sanctioned by debit to the Flexi Fund of the two universities- SKUAST-K and SKUAT-J,” it added.
