SRINAGAR:The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational and Research (JK-SCERT) has announced the revised date sheet for the Middle Standard Examination (Summative Assessment) for Class 8th Academic Session 2023-2024 in the Union Territory.
In the soft zones areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the Middle Standard Examination for the 8th grade will commence on March 13, 2024, and conclude on April 02, 2024. Similarly, in the hard zones areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the examinations will begin from March 26, 2024, and continue until April 10, 2024.
All students are required to take their examinations at the designated examination centers as previously notified. It is advised that the examinees strictly adhere to all the instructions provided for appearing in the examination. Candidates must carry their admit cards for verification purposes throughout all the examination days.
The heads of the examination centers are responsible for ensuring that all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the conduct of the examination are followed meticulously.
Parikshit Singh Manhas, the Director of SCERT- JK, told Rising Kashmir that the examinations for students in the soft and hard zones of Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted according to the provided schedule.
According to the Director, a total of 174,385 students from across the Jammu and Kashmir union territory will be appearing for the Standard Examination (Summative Assessment) for the 8th grade in the academic session 2023-2024. Out of these, 88,668 students from both the soft and hard zones of the Jammu division will be participating in the examinations. Additionally, 85,717 students from the soft and hard zones of the Kashmir division will be appearing for the Middle Standard Examination for the 8th grade.
