J&K Bank bids farewell to two of its top officers

Srinagar, Jun 30: J&K Bank today gave a warm send-off to two of its senior-most officers, Sushil Kumar Gupta and Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi, who superannuated as General Managers after serving the institution with distinction for over 35 years.Executive Director Sudhir Gupta chaired the farewell function held at the Bank’s Corporate Headquarters. The event was attended by General Managers  and other senior functionaries of the Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Sudhir Gupta said, “Both Mr. Gupta and Mr. Andrabi have been valuable pillars of strength for the Bank. Their leadership, deep institutional knowledge, and humane approach have left an indelible impact on our organisation and people.”Managing Director & CEO Amitava Chatterjee also hosted a farewell dinner for the retiring officers over the weekend, which was attended by the Directors on the Bank’s Board.Speaking at the gathering, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee commended the commitment of both retiring officers. He said, “Contributing richly to the Bank’s growth journey for more than 35 years, Mr Sushil Kumar Gupta brought depth, diligence, and deliberation to every task whether during his time in operations within J&K and beyond or his role as GM Human Resources, Business Support Division or more recently as GM Finance. A soft-spoken gentleman in the truest sense, Mr. Gupta carries a quiet grace and a creative spirit — qualities that we all admire.”In his remarks on Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi’s journey, MD & CEO said, “Mr. Andrabi has served this institution with remarkable dedication for over 35 years, holding a wide range of critical positions — from key operational roles and controlling offices to his long and trusted stint as Private Secretary to the then Chairman & CEO, and more recently as General Manager Human Resources. Known for his sharp administrative acumen and a friendly public demeanour, he has led with clarity and confidence.”The MD & CEO acknowledged both officers as part of a generation of leadership that helped shape the culture of J&K Bank. He wished both the officers a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life ahead.Expressing his sentiments, Sushil Kumar Gupta said, “It has been a long and deeply enriching journey with J&K Bank. I feel immensely proud to have been a part of this institution’s growth story and will always carry forward the values and relationships built over the years.”Sharing his thoughts, Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi remarked, “Serving J&K Bank has been both an honour and a privilege. I am grateful for the opportunities, the trust placed in me, and most importantly, the friendships I take with me into this next chapter.”
