Shah, Yogi to address eight rallies in Jammu today
Omar, Mehbooba also camping in Jammu
Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Kashmir
JAMMU, Sept 25: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is set to become a political hotspot tomorrow as Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath address eight back-to-back election rallies in the Jammu region ahead of the third phase of Assembly elections.
Former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti are also actively campaigning in Jammu for their respective parties. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Kashmir tomorrow to rally support for his party.
With the second phase of elections concluding today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up to exert all its resources for the upcoming phase, as 40 seats—considered strongholds of the BJP—will go to polls, predominantly in the Jammu region.
Amit Shah will lead the campaign, addressing rallies in various locations, including Barwal Morh, Jasrota in Kathua district, Chenani, Bani, and Udhampur. Concurrently, Yogi Adityanath will embark on a two-day visit, where he will address four rallies at Jourian in Akhnoor, RS Pura Stadium, Ramgarh at Gadwal, Ramnagar, and Kathua.
The BJP’s strategic planning aims to ensure coverage of all Assembly constituencies participating in the third phase of elections. With these 40 seats holding significant importance, the BJP is confident in its claim to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.
