Jammu, Feb 28: The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) IEC outreach seminar was held at the Government Polytechnic College, Jammu, in collaboration with the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir through the Directorate of Skill Development J&K on Friday. The event aimed to raise awareness about the PMIS and encourage youth participation.
Rajneesh Kumar, Registrar of Companies for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh, outlined the key features and success stories from the first round of the scheme. He urged young people aged 20 to 24 to take advantage of this valuable opportunity for hands-on experience across various sectors.
Raj Kumar Koul from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs delivered an informative session on the PMIS registration process, guiding attendees on profile updates and ensuring a smooth application experience. In his concluding remarks, Er. Talet Mahmood, Principal of Government Polytechnic College, Jammu, emphasised the scheme’s role in empowering youth through skill development and career progression. The event saw participation from heads of departments, staff, and students of Government Polytechnic Jammu, Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu, Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu, and Government Women ITI Jammu. The Prime Minister Internship Scheme is a transformative initiative that provides young individuals with practical industry exposure, equipping them with essential skills while contributing to national development.
