Hamdard Institute of International Studies at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi has launched a flagship undergraduate programme dedicated to study and research within the knowledge domain of international studies, global politics, and world affairs for the academic year 2024-25.
The BA course has been started following the ongoing growth of its MA programme in International Studies.
In a handout issued here, the University said that the newly introduced program titled B.A. (International Studies and Global Politics) is a four-year undergraduate programme (FYUGP), spanning eight semesters, with multiple exit-entry options at the end of each year.
“This is giving students an option to avail a UG certificate, UG diploma, and UG degree each at the end of the first, second, and third year, provided they attain the minimum credits as stipulated in the National Education Policy of 2020,” the statement reads.
It said that students interested in further studies after a three-year UG degree can opt to study for their fourth year.
“With this, the students can avail honours degree or an honours degree with research in the field of international studies subject to whether they submit a research project, dissertation or not,” it said.
“The undergraduate programme in international studies aims to create graduates informed in important aspects of world politics,” the hand-out reads.
The inaugural batch will accommodate 60 students, with an annual tuition fee of ₹50,000. For further information about eligibility, details of application, admission procedure and other information, the same will be available on its official website.
