Awantipora, July 28: The AICTE IDEA Lab at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) inaugurated a one-week Summer Boot Camp on emerging technologies, including Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, PCB Designing, and Drone Technology.According to a statement issued here, the camp is hosting 40 school students, offering hands-on training to help them develop practical skills and an innovation-driven mindset. The sessions are designed to introduce participants to the real-world applications of emerging tech through interactive learning in areas like embedded systems, rapid prototyping, and automation.Inaugural remarks by Dr. Sajjad A Lone (Coordinator IDEA Lab & Head Dept. of Computer Sciences emphasized the importance of early exposure to technology to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. The training sessions, conducted by Zahid will include specialized sessions on 3D modelling and printing, IoT, PCB designing, laser cutting, and drone operation.Prof. Parvez A Mir, Director CIED IUST Foundation said that the initiative, jointly led by the AICTE IDEA Lab and the CIED–IUST Foundation, aims to inspire scientific curiosity and entrepreneurial thinking among young learners, aligning with national goals to build a future-ready, innovation-oriented youth.
