Srinagar, Aug 31: In a latest political development, Irfan Hafiz Lone, a member of the District Development Council (DDC) and a well-known rights advocate, officially joined the Congress party.
While talking to Rising Kashmir, Irfan Hafiz Lone expressed his intention to run for the assembly elections as a candidate representing an alliance between the National Conference (NC) and Congress from the Wagoora Kreeri constituency.
In 2020, Irfan Hafiz Lone successfully won the DDC elections from Sangrama subsequently becoming the DDC Member from Sangrama.
Irfan Hafiz was welcomed at the Congress Party headquarters by Tariq Hameed Karra and other senior party leaders upon his joining.
