Sonipat, Apr 11: The International Affairs Youth Summit 2025, hosted by the Jindal School of International Affairs at O.P. Jindal Global University, concluded with an inspiring keynote by Haji Syed Salman Chishty, 26th-generation Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of the Chishty Foundation.
The summit, centered around the theme “Overcoming Hate and Building Bridges of Friendship,” brought together hundreds of youth delegates from over 30 countries.
In his deeply spiritual and heartfelt address, Syed Salman Chishty, invited as Chief Guest, called upon the youth to rise as “torchbearers of light, love, and friendship,” reminding them of the timeless Sufi message: “Love all, hate none. Serve all, harm none.” He emphasized that hate must be overcome not through more hate, but through love, compassion, and shared humanity. “Let us see the Divine in one another,” he urged, “and build bridges of peace in a divided world.”
Dr. Mariann Erdo, Director of the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre, New Delhi, served as Guest of Honour and lauded the university’s commitment to creating spaces for intercultural dialogue and global youth engagement. She encouraged students to become ambassadors of peace across nations and traditions.
Dean Professor Sreeram Chaulia of the Jindal School of International Affairs remarked, “This summit reflects our belief that universities must serve as platforms for not just academic growth but moral and spiritual leadership. The presence of Haji Syed Salman Chishty and other global voices has profoundly impacted our students’ vision for a more inclusive world.”
The closing ceremony featured a mesmerizing Sufi Qawwali performance by the Vinay Verma Collectives, a group of young artists inspired by A.R. Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. Their renditions of “Khwaja Mere Khwaja,” “Kun Faya Kun,” and “ZikrAllah” captivated the audience and brought the summit’s message to life through the transcendent language of music.
With themes of love, unity, and divine connection echoing through both words and melodies, the International Affairs Youth Summit 2025 closed as a deeply moving celebration of global friendship, spiritual wisdom, and youth empowerment.
