Srinagar, March 15: The Health and Medical Education Department has appointed two inquiry officers for the alleged misconduct by a doctor.
“Sanction is, hereby, accorded to the appointment of Prof. (Dr.) Suhail Majid, HoD Orthopaedics, SKIMS Medical College & Hospital, Bemina and Prof. (Dr.) Altaf Ahmad Kawoosa, HOD Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Srinagar as Inquiry Officers for the enquiry to be conducted against Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Consultant Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Baramulla for his alleged misconduct,” the H&ME said in an order issued today.
It said that the Chief Executive Officer, State Health Agency, J&K and Principal, Government Medical College, Baramulla shall ensure that all data including work done, biometric attendance details of the concerned doctor or any other information details required by the Inquiry Officers are provided to them forthwith.
The inquiry officers shall submit a detailed report on the alleged misconduct and/or any acts of omission/commission by consultant, within seven days from the date of issuance of this order.
