Shopian, Aug 08: The Information Department, Shopian on Thursday conducted a special sanitation drive at Kapal Mochan, Degam, Nagbal under the government’s Swachhta Pakhwada initiative.
The drive was led by the District Information Officer, Shopian and participated by employees of the Department along with media persons of the district and locals.
In furtherance of the Swachhta Pakhwada, being celebrated from August 01 to 14, today’s sanitation drive aimed to promote cleanliness.
The special drive focused on enhancing ‘Hygiene and Sanitation’, reinforcing the message of cleanliness amongst the public and also to avoid usage of polythene.
During the drive, participants collected plastic and other waste, and disposed of it in dust bins to be safely removed by Municipal authorities.
