Srinagar, Feb 24: Doon International School, Srinagar has received ‘Award for Excellence in Education-2023’ during 2nd Indo-Lanka Education Summit Award Ceremony-2023 organised recently in Sri Lanka.
The school was awarded in presence of Sri Lankan Education Minister, Arvind Kumar, State Minister of Technology, Kanaka Herath and Sri Lankan Cabinet Minister of justice, Prisons Altairs.
Invited as a special guest, Showkat Hussain Khan Chairman of Doon International School Srinagar was extremely proud to share the achievement and the prestigious award.
Talking about his mission, Khan won thousands of hearts in the gathering by saying that his sole desire is to make every student a winner. He also invited Education Minister, A. Arvind Kumar to visit Srinagar.
He said that it was a moment of pride and joy not just for the school or for the state but for the nation. Such results, he said, are not possible year after year without the dedicated, hardworking and committed members of staff.
Khan said that Doon Srinagar is probably one of the few institutions in Kashmir that allow students to have flexible coursework and customize their curriculum to meet their needs and building leadership experience through workshops, programs, events, activities, and specific child centric curriculum is more effective after their recent partner collaboration with Cambridge International with the aim to bring international curriculum and exchange programs for the local community.
Located at Hokersar, HMT Srinagar the school has gained a huge popularity since its inception in 2014. The school believes in taking the initiative to transform students into socially responsible professionals and continues to keep up with their learning and promote child centric curriculum to ensure that they meet all the benchmarks for quality teaching and learning.
Doon International School Srinagar has already won Award of Excellence by Mauritius Government – 2022, Best Emerging International Sports Facility in J & K, India’s A-Listers Award, India’s Most Prominent Education Award and many more.
