78th independence day has been celebrated at Srinagar International Airport today. Chief guest was Javed Anjum, Airport Director
He was accompanied by Rubana Aslam, president Kalyanmayee, Vishnu Dwivedi, Commandant, CRPF, A.P. Singh, CASO, CISF and Rupesh Kumar, RD BCAS.
Chief guest unfurled the flag followed by Guard of Honour jointly by CISF and CRPF. JAKLAI band added the stars to the celebration.
Director Airport Javed Anjum addressed the gathering and gave an insight about the various initiatives like procurement of new gold carts, expansion of Srinagar Intl. Airport, addition of new F&B counters etc. at airport.
He also appreciated the efforts of security forces by honouring them for their contribution in aviation security.
The chief Guest focused on the importance of ” Coordination, Cooperation and Dedication” among the employees to strengthen an organization. Ms Anjali Gupta, MGR(CNS) compered the program.
A fusion of folk and patriotism in cultural programme added the stars to the occasion.
Appreciation letter for meritorious services have been awarded to the employees of all security forces, airlines, oil agencies, Airport health services, Airports authority of india, etc. The celebration ended with a high tea.
