Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday have seized illicit timber worth lacs in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A spokesperson said, “Police station Budgam recieved an information from reliable sources that one person namely Reyaz Ahmad Itoo S/O Abdul Karim Itoo R/O Atipora Sholipora has dumped illegally acquired timber at his home.”
“Acting swiftly, a police party of police station Budgam raided the said house and seized illicit timber comprising of 88 Swans measuring 26.93 Cft. However, the accused managed to flee from the house”, he said.
Accordingly, Case FIR No *15 /2024* under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and further investigation set into motion.
