Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Delina & Main Market Baramulla, the Baramulla Police on Tuesday seized three tippers & four tractors besides arresting seven drivers.
A spokesperson said that the Police initiated the action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO Baramulla & IC PP Delina.
The police seized 3 Tippers, 4 Tractors & arrested 7 drivers namely Ashiq Ahmad Dar son of Ab Rehman resident of Jalsheeri, Bashir Ahmad Khan son of Lal Din resident of Kanispora, Manzoor Ahmad Gojree son of Mohd Shaban resident of Drangbal, Shahid Hamid Rather son of Abdul Hamid, Farooq Ahmad Mir son of Wali Mohd, Mohd Arif Dar son of Fayaz Ahmad & Javaid Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi all residents of Darpora Delina.
The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly FIR under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Baramulla against them and investigations taken up.
