Srinagar, Aug 07: Horticulture department, Srinagar organised a Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for progressive farmers under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) at the Horticulture Complex, Lalmandi Srinagar.According to a statement issued here, more than 50 orchardists from various horticulture zones of district Srinagar participated in the programme. The farmers were provided with awareness on modern horticultural techniques and detailed information about newly launched departmental schemes.They were encouraged to adopt these innovations to enhance productivity and improve the quality of their fruit crops, which would ultimately lead to increased income and better livelihood opportunities.As part of the programme, participants were also provided training sessions, refreshments, and were distributed vermicompost and horticulture toolkits to support their field-level activities.
