Jammu, July 01: Girdhari Lal Raina, a former MLC and J&K UT spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has welcomed the issuance of a new roster for Administrative Secretaries to conduct public darbars (public gatherings) in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The roster aims to provide a platform for the people to bring their concerns to the attention of administrative heads.
The move is a step towards responsive administration and a communication bridge between the people and government, Raina said in a statement issued here.
“The frequency of these public darbars should be increased to cater to the large population and areas of each district,” he said.
Raina demanded holding a separate public darbar for migrant communities who are living in displacement and face issues related to their original districts. He expressed hope that the LG administration will realize the necessity of such a move and wishes it success.
“This is a welcome move towards a responsive administration. Common people can bring to the notice of administrative heads problems faced by them. More robustness is needed in this regard,” Raina said.
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir issued a notification announcing a new roster for Administrative Secretaries to conduct public darbars in various districts during the month of July. The move aims to provide a platform for people to interact with administrative heads and raise their concerns.
