Grand Finale of Corporate Cup 3rd Edition: Team GMC Baramulla emerges victorious in a thrilling conclusion

Baramulla, Dec 07: The grand finale of the Corporate Cup 3rd Edition concluded in a dramatic fashion with an electrifying clash between Team Election and Team GMC Baramulla. The high-stakes match saw Team Election win the toss and opt to bat first, setting a challenging target of 141 runs.

Zahoor Lone was the standout performer for Team Election, playing a brilliant knock of 60 runs, while Farooq Mir contributed a solid 46 runs. Their efforts helped the team post a competitive total, setting the stage for an exciting chase.

In response, Team GMC Baramulla, under the captaincy of Dr. Mudasir Hassan, showed remarkable composure and skill as they successfully chased down the target in the 17th over. The key to their victory was the sensational performance of Amir Bukhari, who played a match-winning knock of 49 runs. Asif Mir also played a crucial role, scoring 45 runs and anchoring the chase.

The grand finale was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa, who attended as the Chief Guest at Bipn Rawat Stadium. Dr. Prof. Majid Jahangir, Principal of GMC Baramulla, also expressed his appreciation for the team’s outstanding performance and success.

Several players were honored for their remarkable contributions. Sajad Majeed received the Game Changer Award for his all-round performance, which proved vital in the match’s outcome. Asif Sofi was awarded the Super Sixes Award for hitting the maximum number of sixes during the chase.

Dr. Mudasir Hassan, Captain of Team GMC Baramulla, expressed his gratitude to the District Administration and Baramulla Cricket Forum for organizing such a prestigious tournament, specially for the departments of Baramulla.

The victory of Team GMC Baramulla marked a fitting and thrilling conclusion to the Corporate Cup 3rd Edition, showcasing outstanding talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
