Ganderbal, Apr 17: The Government Middle School located in Branward Thune area of Kangan, in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, faced severe damage after a heavy rock from a nearby hillock crashed onto it on Wednesday.
Local sources reported an atmosphere of panic engulfing the Branward Thune area as the heavy stone descended upon the school building, causing extensive damage not only to the infrastructure but also damaging a cowshed in the village. Despite the magnitude of the incident, residents miraculously escaped harm.
Expressing concern, locals highlighted the ongoing peril as stones continue to descend from the nearby hillock, posing a persistent threat to the safety of the area.
