Srinagar, Sept 19: Senior trade union leader and president Employees Joint Action Committee J&K Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam has deeply condoled the sad demise of renowned retired IAS officer, Mohammad Shafi Pandit. In a condolence statement, Fayaz Shabnam expressed deep sorrow on the demise of the departed soul and has extended his sympathies & solidarity with the bereaved family. He said that Mohammad Shafi was an outstanding bureaucrat with exceptional qualities of strategic thinking and leadership. Shabnam said that the whole EJAC leadership stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
Meanwhile in a condolence press statement chairman Jammu and Kashmir civil society forum and president pensioners United front Ab Qayoom wani expressed grief and sorrow on the demise of Mohd Shafi Pandit, the first IAS officer of Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh. Wani said that he was a great administrator and has contributed to the society in different capacities as Bureaucrat, civil society leader and great son of the soil. Wani said that his death is a great loss for the entire society and his contribution will be remembered forever.
