Budgam, Oct 18: Member of Parliament Er Rashid on Friday visited the Sub-District Hospital in Beerwah to assess the medical facilities available at the facility.
While addressing reporters in the main town of Beerwah, Er Rashid highlighted several fundamental issues faced by the people, noting the lack of proper accommodation, a blood bank, and an elevator at the Sub-District Hospital.
He mentioned that a meeting with the chief engineer is planned to ensure the elevator becomes operational, which would enhance patient care within the hospital.
“The community has expressed a need for various facilities at the Sub-District Hospital in Beerwah. We are committed to addressing all legitimate demands so that patients can access the necessary services at the hospital,” he said.
Er Rashid also reflected on his experience after being released from Tihar Jail, noting that the submission of nomination papers for two phases of the elections was completed during that time, despite the party not being registered. He acknowledged that candidates supported by the AIP had different symbols but emphasized the significant vote share received in the assembly elections. He expressed optimism that the AIP would emerge as a credible political party in Jammu and Kashmir, having already secured one seat in the assembly.
“We are hopeful that the elected government of Jammu and Kashmir will ensure a reliable electricity supply for consumers. It is also the responsibility of our citizens to use electricity judiciously, especially as demand increases during the winter months. We trust that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will fulfill his promise of providing 200 watts of free electricity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” MP Rashid said.
Furthermore, Er Rashid indicated that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a bridge over Nallah Sukhnag in Beerwah has already been submitted to higher authorities. He plans to meet with the chief engineer to ensure that this project is included in the government’s development schemes, allowing construction to commence in the area.
