Er. Deepak Byotra bags Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering by SMVDU

Jammu, Aug 17:  Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Sunday announced that Er. Deepak Byotra, son of H.L. Gupta and Shakuntala Gupta, resident of Channi Himmat, Jammu (J&K), has been declared qualified for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.A statement issued here said that Er Byotra carried out his doctoral research on the topic “Performance Analysis of Textured Journal Bearing Operating with Nanoparticles in the Lubricant” under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU. His research work explores innovative approaches to enhancing the performance of journal bearings using nanoparticle-based lubricants, contributing to advancements in mechanical design and lubrication technology. The outcomes of his research have been published in reputed SCI-indexed journals, presented at international conferences, and featured in book chapters published by globally recognized publishers, including Springer and Taylor and Francis.
