EPFO awards best performing employees of J&K, Ladakh

Jammu, Nov 17: EPFO Regional Office, Jammu on Friday organized an award ceremony for Best Performing employees of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh and the closing ceremony of “Hindi Pakhwada” – held from September 17 to 29.
The special invitee of the program was Mr Anil Batra, AGM, BSNL, who was welcomed by the Regional PF Commissioner – I. The “Hindi Pakhwada” celebrations were held in all the Regional Offices of the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, including RO Leh (Ladakh). 
Sanjeev Kumar, SSSA, Chiranji Lal Sharma, SS, and Dharmendra Kumar, SSSA, employees in RO Srinagar, RO Jammu, and RO Ladakh, respectively, have been attending the office in “Flexi-Hours”, the EPFO said in a press release.
Sanjeev Kumar, SSSA, who was the first employee to attend the office in the morning shift (by 6:20 AM), has shouldered responsibilities on many occasions when the office needed his services. He has worked on Saturdays and Sundays and settled a record number of claims (819 claims) in a single day. 
Chiranji Lal Sharma, SS, who has settled the maximum number of claims within three days, has been selected as the best employee in EPFO, Jammu. He has also been consistently attending the office before 7:00 AM and has been a regular performer. 
The PF Commissioner, appreciating the efforts of the aforementioned employees, also awarded SSSA, who was handling accounts-related work of RO, Ladakh. Officials who have worked in flexi-hours and have managed the claims within hours were also awarded. 
The conclusion of “Hindi Pakhwada” witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers who participated in various activities such as ‘Vichar Pratiyogita’ and ‘Tippan and Aalekhan Pratiyogita’ to promote the usage of Hindi in the office. 
The topic on which participants of different events presented their views included – “Privatization: Challenges for Government institutions, what improvements are required in the functioning of Government organizations in this area.” 
Rizwan Uddin, RPFC – I, spoke about the importance of using Hindi in all official communication and the role of events such as “Hindi Pakhwada” in promoting the use of Hindi as Rajbhasha by inculcating the habit of usage of Hindi. He took the opportunity to elaborate on the relevance of such events to promote team spirit and competitiveness as the participants compete against one another. The zeal of participating and winning prizes creates a vibrant atmosphere. It provides a great opportunity for all to express their views and feelings. Rizwan Uddin expressed satisfaction over the fact that participants from RO, Leh, and RO, Srinagar, also won prizes in the competitions. 
The winners of the competitive programs held during “Hindi Pakhwada-2023” were felicitated during the event by dignitaries present. 
Among the winners were Shiva Murthy, EO/AO; Sanjeev Kumar, EO/AO; Pramod Kumar Singh, EO/AO;  Amit Jakhmola, EO/AO;  Bipin Kumar, EO/AO;  Bal Krishan, EO/AO, Smt. Mini S, DPA;  Pramod Lokhande, DPA,  Pritpal Singh, ASO;  Mukesh Kumar, SS;  Chiranji Lal Sharma, SS;  Rajander Kumar, SS;  Pranav Gupta, ASO, Asha Rani, SS,  Shamsher Singh, SSSA,  Dharmendra, SSSA  Arun, SSSA;  Ravi, SSSA,  Sunil Sharma, SSA, and others. The winners were presented with cash awards ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 along with a certificate.
