Kulgam, June 01: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Saturday convened a meeting of officers here to review the status of works under the execution of the Rural Development Department (RDD). The meeting held a detailed review of progress achieved under various programmes among other initiatives.
The DDC emphasised the need to accelerate the progress to meet the annual targets and asked the officers to ensure timely payment of wages. He reviewed solid waste management, door-to-door waste collection in Panchayats, community soakage pits, community compost pits, etc.
Regarding onsite inspection of works, the DDC stressed the importance of maximum onsite work inspection. He directed to scale up the execution of all works and ensure a time-bound completion of these works without compromising the quality.
The meeting was attended by JD-P Zahid Sajad, ACD Syed Naseer, ACP, Nazia Hassan, Exen REW, Manzoor Ahmad, BDOs, AEES and other officers.
