Baramulla, Aug 22: In a bid to ensure road safety and adherence to traffic regulations, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Baramulla, Muazzam Ali, led a dedicated team in conducting an enforcement drive along the Hygam-Baramulla national highway road.
He issued on-the-spot show cause notices to 11 violators who were found operating vehicles without mandatory Speed Limiting Devices (SLDs).
Accompanied by Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) Abdul Hamid and Motor Vehicle Technical Assistant (MVTA) Naveed Raina, the ARTO’s team scrutinized a significant number of passenger vehicles during the drive.
The focus of the operation was to identify and address vehicles lacking proper Speed Governors.
ARTO Baramulla stressed the importance of responsible driving, cautioning against over-speeding, and emphasized the need to adhere to traffic regulations.
“Motorists and the general public should prioritize road safety, exercise caution while driving, and diligently follow traffic rules to contribute to safer roads and a more secure commuting experience for all,” he added.
