DSEJ directs staff to join duties at original place of posting

Srinagar, May 22: The Director of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has directed its teaching and non teaching staff of the School Education Department which are  working in offices other than School Education Department without prior approval of the competent authority  ie. Administrative Department/Directorate of School Education Jammu, to Join their duties at the original place of posting.

In an official order issued by the Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Director of School Education Jammu said that This uninformed practice of deployment/attachment of Staff of School Education Department to other departments has left the department disarrayed specially at the time when the department is already facing the problem of acute shortage understaffed/underperformed. of staff, leaving Schools

“Government has also recently issued instructions for restricting the utilization of services of such staff in Departments other than School Education Department. Therefore, pursuant to the directions of the Administrative Department and in order to meet out the acute deficiency of staff and smooth functioning of ensuing academic session in the Schools of winter and summer zones,” DSEJ stated.

It further order that  All staff members (Teaching and Non-Teaching) who have been attached or deployed in offices outside the jurisdiction of the School Education Department without proper authorization/approval of the competent authority are hereby recalled with immediate effect.

“The concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) shall personally ensure that all such staff members report back to their respective places of posting and resume academic/allied duties,” Orders reads

DSEJ said that no salary shall be drawn by the DDO in favour of any such employee who fails to report back to his/her original place of posting.

“DDOs shall ensure that salary in case of these employees is released only after examining the proper Biometric/Facial attendance records duly marked at their original place of posting/Schools,” order stated.

DSEJ has directed All Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the Jammu division to identify such delinquent officials who fail to join duties at their original place of posting and initiate disciplinary action against them.

Action taken report be submitted to this Directorate by or before 30th of May, 2025.
