After serving General Administration Department, IAS officer, Dr. Piyush Singla has been posted as Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department on Friday.
As per order of GAD order, Dr. Piyush has been transferred and posted as Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department.
Dr. Piyush is a senior IAS officer who has served at various positions in the government during which he brought visible change on the ground.
The IAS officer put many things in tone in GAD. He also took a number of steps to streamline the department and took it to new heights.
During Dr Piyush’s tenure as the Secretary to Government, he ordered changing the names of buildings, and roads in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation.
He also implemented Mission Karamyogi, the game-changing deputation policy notified by GAD, J&K that signals a shift from archaic rule-based deputation to a role-based dynamic framework that upholds skill, ability & qualifications.
Besides the move that was welcomed by the general public of Jammu and Kashmir. He was also attaching or deputing employees with the technical background to other departments where their service can be better utilized.
“The policy shall govern the deputation of employees possessing higher educational/technical qualifications outside their parent departments where their specific skill-sets/qualification can be put to better use, consistent with the requirements of the borrowing departments,” said the GAD order issued earlier by Dr Piyush.
Now it would be interesting to see Dr. Piyush as Administrative Secretary of, Revenue Department. The dynamic officer will take lead in retrieving the state land encroachments across the UT J&K.
A senior official at GAD told Rising Kashmir that Dr. Singla has streamlined the GAD in many ways and was praised on many occasions for his dynamic administrative qualities.
“We are hopeful that he will try his best of his abilities to streamline the department and would help the government to retrieve the encroached land from land grabbers,” the official said.
Dr Piyush has also bagged the PM Excellence Award in Public Administration for PM SVANIDHi Project in Anantnag from Prime Minster of India, Narendra Modi.
Dr Piyush had then tweeted and said “Elated to receive PM Excellence Award in Public Administration for PM SVANIDHi Project in Anantnag from Honble PM. This is for the team. Grateful to Hon’ble LG @manojsinha_ Sir and all seniors for constant support and guidance,” he said.
