Budgam, May 12: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday expressed his commitment to providing support to the family of Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, who tragically lost his life due to an electric shock in the Chewdara village of Beerwah in Budgam district.
Paying a visit to Dar’s residence, Dr Farooq said, “The family has suffered a great loss, as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar was the sole bread earner. His family consists of his wife and two young children. It is my duty and responsibility to extend all forms of support to them.”
He said it is the collective responsibility of society to assist families who have lost their primary earners and to ensure that they do not face any hardships in their lives.
“I am always available to the family, and they only need to reach out to me. I will continue to provide unwavering support as long as I am alive,” Abdullah said.
The NC chief urged the people to exercise their right to vote and choose their representatives in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He emphasised the importance of supporting their party to work towards the betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During his visit to Gundipora village, Dr Farooq offered condolence prayers at the residence of Bilal Ahmad Khan, who passed away in April.
