Srinagar, Dec 24: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has greeted people on the eve of Christmas, hoping the day augurs well for increased prospectus of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
In his heartfelt message, Dr. Farooq expressed, “I extend warm greetings to the Christian community on the joyous occasion of Christmas. This day symbolizes the spirit of selflessness and empathy, dedicating oneself to easing human suffering. May this day serve as a catalyst for global peace and prosperity.”
Sending heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all fellow countrymen and women, he extended his wishes for a joyous celebration to all those observing the festival.
Meanwhile, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the passing of Farooq Ahmad Rather, father-in-law of MLA Lolab Qaiser Jamsheed Lone.
The duo offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family in this moment of grief.
Meanwhile CM Omar Abdullah along with his political Advisor Mudassar Shahmiri and MLA Channapora Mushtaq Guroo participated in the Namaz-e-Janaza of the deceased at Humhama in the evening.
Among others Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Lone and Rather families.
