Srinagar, March 26: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, chaired a high-level meeting Wednesday with representatives of the administration to review preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr, Juma-tul-Vida, and Lailat-ul-Qadr. The meeting focused on ensuring foolproof arrangements at shrines and mosques during the upcoming religious gatherings.
A comprehensive facilitation plan was discussed in detail, with Dr Andrabi instructing the Waqf Board management to coordinate with all departments to ensure a seamless experience for worshippers. “Our belief in cooperation has led to successful management in the past, and we are committed to providing fault-free facilitation during these significant festival days. Public cooperation is our strength,” she said.
Dr Andrabi also expressed gratitude to department heads for their full support in making these special events successful. She extended her warm greetings to the people on Jumat-ul-Vida and Shab-e-Qadr.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including SSP HQ Umer Shah, SP Hazratbal Hilal Khalik, SP Security Peer Zahoor, Tehsildar Zubair Ahmad, AEE Jal Shakti Mohammad Yousuf, AEE KPDCL Khurshid Ahmad, EXEN KPDCL Division 4th Mohammad Shabir Akhoon, AEE LCMA Peer Salim, DySP SDRF Fasil Khan, Medical Officer Hazratbal Abdul Rashid, Sanitary Officer Ghulam Mustafa Rather, and other key officials.
