Srinagar, April 09: Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed modern science laboratory at RP School in Nagbal, Ganderbal.
At the impressive event, Dr Andrabi interacted with students who had created models showcasing developments in the IT sector and other scientific disciplines. She praised the school management for nurturing the talents of young learners and expressed delight at the students’ growing interest in subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies.
In her presidential address, the Waqf Chairperson stated that the National Education Policy (NEP) has introduced a holistic, practical and diverse approach to education. “In this new age of digital technologies, we must emphasise limitless scientific exposure for our students. Scientific and creative temperament among our young generation will shape a brighter future,” said Dr Darakhshan. She encouraged students to familiarise themselves with the Central Government’s Digital India and Skill India Missions, and to actively participate in the numerous initiatives and programmes aimed at developing scientific aptitude and skillsets. Dr Andrabi also felicitated the students for their innovative models and conceptual presentations. Earlier, she was warmly welcomed by the school management and students upon her arrival.
Chairperson RP School Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, Principal Nazir Ahmad Sofi, President of the Private Schools Association G. N. War, Professor Khurshid from the University of Kashmir and renowned social activist Farooq Ganderbali also attended the event.
