Srinagar, Dec 06: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday paid tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar on his 69th death anniversary.
In a statement issued here, Dr Farooq said, “Ambedkar ji was a visionary leader who emerged to challenge the deep-rooted injustices that denied rights and dignity to many. Much like Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, who also demonstrated the transformative power of education and harnessed his wisdom to pave the way for equality and justice.”
The NC chief praised Ambedkar for his courageous stand against injustice and his unwavering commitment to creating a more just society. He highlighted the parallels between Ambedkar and Sher-e-Kashmir, emphasising their shared dedication to education as a tool for empowerment and social change.
