Srinagar, Nov 05: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah held a meeting with Village Level Workers (VLWs) and Patwaris at Tangmarg to strengthen grassroots governance and improve public administration in the area.
The meeting aimed at fostering a stronger connection between local officials and the community to ensure smoother and more effective governance.
During the meeting, MLA Shah urged the officials to stay engaged with the public, listen to their concerns and address their issues promptly. He called for transparency, accountability and responsiveness in their work to build trust within the community.
“Our goal is to ensure a government that truly works for the people,” Shah said. “We need to focus on community development and ensure that everyone benefits from improved services. Every official in my constituency must perform their duties diligently, and there will be zero tolerance for non-performance.”
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including SDM Gulmarg, Tehsildar Kunzer, Tehsildar Tangmarg and all BDOs from the Gulmarg constituency.
