Udhampur, Jan 24: Apni Party committee in Udhampur on Wednesday organized an impressive public meeting at Panchayat Samole in the West Constituency of Udhampur.
The meeting was organized by Ex-Sarpanch and Party candidate for MLA seat from this West Constituency, Udhampur, Makhan Lal. The meeting was held under the leadership of District President, Udhampur, Hans Raj Dogra and senior leader Vishal Narainiya, the party said in a statement, adding that the meeting was attended by a large number of people, including women who extended their support to party leadership, and MLA seat candidate Makhan Lal.
Speaking on the occasion, Makhan Lal highlighted various issues being faced by the people including shortage of electricity and water supply, shortage of medicines in local dispensaries, and poor condition of roads in backward area Samole and other Panchayats of the West Constituency of Udhampur.
He urged the administration of Udhampur to keep the attention on the West Constituency which is almost backward and hilly and most of the area is without road connectivity, or electricity, the water supply system and road connectivity are very poor.
Meanwhile, Hans Raj Dogra while addressing the gathering at Samole also kick-started the election campaign for the coming parliamentary election and asked the Udhampur Party cadre to intensify door-to-door campaigns to reach the common man to spread the message of the party.
Party leader, Vishal Narainiya also spoke on the occasion. On the occasion, dozens of people joined the party.
Meanwhile, the Apni Party leaders on Wednesday visited the residence of the Party’s District General Secretary, Surjan Singh Ji here in Poonch to condole the demise of his father namely S. Prem Singh, who passed away recently.
As per a press release, the Apni Party leaders led by Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh visited the residence of Surjan Singh Ji to express their solidarity with the bereaved family members.
On this occasion, the Party leaders prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul, and courage to bear this irreparable loss. They expressed their grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of the noble soul.
Meanwhile, Manjit Singh conveyed the condolence message of Party President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, and Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir to the bereaved family members.
“The Party stands with the bereaved family members, especially Surjan Singh Ji whose father passed away after a brief illness,” Singh said. The former minister was accompanied by SC State President, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Apni Trade Union, State President, Ajaz Kazmi, and others.
