Kargil, Feb 17: The District Level Modern and Traditional Archery Tournament 2025-26, organised by the Ladakh Olympic Association Kargil (LOAK), concluded at KSC Bemathang, Kargil on Monday.
In a thrilling finale, TDB Sankoo, TG 15, and Brakmar Brakoo emerged as champions by defeating Friends Barsoo, Baro Tsoq, and United Trespone in the Modern Super 10, Super 04, and Traditional Super 10 categories, respectively. The concluding ceremony was graced by Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Shri Kacho Mohd Feroz, as the Chief Guest. Lt. Col Prerna Singh Chauhan, Commanding Officer, and Lt. Col Abhishek Tomar attended the event as Guests of Honour.
Addressing the players and spectators, the Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the Ladakh Olympic Association Kargil for organising the tournament efficiently and commended its commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports in the region. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams across the district, reflecting the growing interest and talent in archery. LOAK expressed gratitude to all participants, officials, and supporters for making the event a grand success.
