Rajouri, Dec 08: Director Agriculture Jammu, Arvinder Singh Reen on Sunday visited the Nowshera Maize and Agro Producers Cooperative Limited (FPO) in Panchayat Bhawani, Zone Dibber, District Rajouri.
The purpose of the visit was to engage with the members of the FPO and strengthen Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in the Jammu region.
During the visit, Director Agriculture took the opportunity to observe the diverse range of products offered by the Nowshera Maize and Agro FPO. He expressed his appreciation for the high quality of the products and the excellent packaging, which reflects the FPO’s commitment to quality standards.
Sunil Choudhary, Chairman of the Nowshera Maize and Agro Producers Cooperative Limited apprised the Director that the FPO specializes in a variety of products, including organic corn flour and millets. The Director also assured the members of the FPO that the Department would provide full assistance in enhancing their initiatives, particularly by helping to promote their products on e-marketplaces for wider visibility.
The program was attended by the Directors and members of the FPO, along with senior officials from the Agriculture Department, including Chief Agriculture Officer S. Sohan Singh, SDAO Nowshera, AEO Dibber, and other Agriculture officers.
