Dir JKEDI discusses govt’s plan for economic growth and collaboration with biz fraternity

Srinagar: Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), attended a significant meeting today to discuss the latest government plans aimed at attracting investment from venture capitalists and investors while exploring collaboration opportunities among all stakeholders in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The gathering, though small, was highly impressive, bringing together esteemed business owners and key government representatives. The primary objective of the meeting was to gather valuable feedback about the current initiatives and chart a path forward to foster growth in the UT, leveraging the Government’s support for startups and existing businesses.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome extended to all attendees, including distinguished business leaders such as Rouf Ahmad Punjabi, Ex. President KCCI, Sheikh Ashiq, MD Alkhuddam, Showkat Ahmad Chowdhary, MD Hatric Group, Shahjahan, MD, Hyacinth, Jahangir Malik, Consultant Business Consultant, Iqbal Beigh and MD New Convent School, among many young entrepreneurs. The organizers expressed their gratitude for the presence of these esteemed individuals and highlighted the meeting’s purpose.
During the meeting, Director JKEDI shared insightful details about the Government’s initiatives to attract investment from venture capitalists and investors, with a primary focus on bolstering the local economy and generating new employment opportunities. JKEDI’s crucial role in executing these plans and its dedication to collaborating closely with the business community were also emphasized.
An interactive session ensued, encouraging active participation from business owners to explore opportunities for cooperation with JKEDI. The discussions centered on identifying potential partnerships between businesses and the Government, with a mutual goal of advancing economic growth in the region and benefiting all parties involved.

The Government has consistently demonstrated a keen interest in providing support mechanisms and viable solutions to overcome these obstacles, showcasing its commitment to fostering a thriving business environment in the UT.
