Srinagar, Dec 05: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Tuesday visited State Tuberculosis Cell, Kashmir located in the premises of CD Hospital, Dalgate Srinagar and reviewed the achievements of National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme in Kashmir Division J&K.
The review meeting chaired by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Director Health Services Kashmir was also attended by State TB Officer Dr. Adhfar Yasien along with STC staff, Director STDC Dr. Shugufta Shaheen and all District Tuberculosis Officers of Kashmir Division along with their Staff.
The meeting started with a detailed presentation by the State TB Officer on NTEP programmatic indicators which were discussed in detail and queries were addressed at the same time.
It was brought to the notice of Director Health Services Kashmir that district Health staff should completely support the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme in order to achieve targets in all the districts of Kashmir Division.
The Sub National Certification Process was explained to DHSK by the State TB Officer in detail as our 5 districts namely Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora are going for SNC claims this year and we expect these districts to upgrade their SNC Status accordingly.

He also visited the Intermediate Reference Lab of National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme to take stock of the civil works going on for Liquid Culture lab.
