Jammu, Aug 22: The first death due to dengue has been reported in Jammu region as a woman from Udhampur district died due to this vector borne disease. “A woman has died due to dengue in Jammu region,” Director Health-Jammu, Rajeev Sharma told Rising Kashmir. Alarmingly, seventeen (17) fresh cases of dengue were reported on Tuesday. With this, the total number of patients suffering from this vector borne disease has gone up to 144 in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir.The Jammu region is the worst- affected with 98 active cases of dengue patients.
